Kid Dynamo Twin Towers

Twin Towers, two great buildings designed by American architect of Japanese origin Minoru Yamasaki, were at the World Trade Center, a complex located on the island of Manhattan in New York.

The World Trade Center complex was built in 1963 and was completed in 1973. Tower 2 had a height of 415.5 meters, while Tower 1 stood at 417 meters (521 with antenna television). With 110 floors, the towers were the largest number of plants to their destruction. It is estimated that the Twin Towers contained 43,600 windows, 239 lifts, 50,000 workers and up to 150,000 visitors per day, mostly foreign tourists. Below the twin towers was a train and metro station, which still operates today.

Both towers were destroyed by two hijacked commercial airliners in the attacks of September 11, 2001 which killed 2749 people, giving close the twentieth century.
